- 2 types, runes (circular) and glyphs (diamond)
- 5 rarity levels (common, rare, epic, legendary, mystic)
- Different rarity can be enhanced (leveled) different number of times
- 5 slots per monument / dragon (2 runes, 3 glyphs)
- Runes are permanently slotted onto the monument / dragon 
- Runes can only be removed by salvaging it into dust
- Runes can be upgraded with dust
- You can collect multiples of the same rune
- Some runes are limited to certain dragon types
- Only small subset of the 100s of runes will be released initially
